Merry Rose Cottage, on the banks of the Toccoa River, is accessible by a gravel country road, and surrounded by lush vegetation and the sounds of nature. Guests would feel as if they were hours from the nearest town but in fact are only minutes from Blue Ridge. A simple country cottage, with its lovely decor and relaxed atmosphere, has a whimsical feel; even the smallest details have been attended to. There is a beautiful picnic area and a dock overlooking the River with a romantic seating area that would be perfect for an intimate dinner for two. Guests will feel as though they have simply borrowed the weekend country house of an old friend instead of renting just another mountain vacation home. Whether you decide to spend time relaxing in the hot tub located in the area off the master bedroom, or snuggled up on the couch beside the wood burning fireplace, you are sure to find your perfect spot to unwind in this lovely cottage on the Toccoa River. Cottage has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms (each bedroom has own bath). Master suite w/skylights opens on to nice deck with a sunken hot tub. Kitchen is nicely stocked with dishwasher and microwave, and there is a charcoal grill on the deck for outdoor grilling. Ammenities include WiFi, Dish Network (over 150 channels to choose from) with 32" and 26" flat screen televisions, DVD and VCR, Playstation II (bring your games). If you are a reader there's lots of great books to read! Also, in the evening, if you're in the mood for a bonfire there's a fire pit on the river's edge for roasting hot dogs or marshmallows or for just enjoying the warmth of a roaring fire. Nearby attractions include hiking the beautiful trails of North Georgia, biking, Antique Shopping, White Water Rafting, Horseback Riding, Scenic Train Rides and the famous Swan Drive In. All of our cabins include linens, dishes, pots, pans, towels, washclothes, etc... We will provide an initial supply of guest soaps, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, paper towels and trash bags. We suggest that you bring your supplies for an extended stay of paper towels, trash bags, starter logs for wood burningfireplace, and washing powders. Firewood is provided for this cabin.
